Daily Planning Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To ensure robust and achievable plans and schedules (production/capacity/raw material/labour) are created for the required horizon to meet customer (internal and external) expectations and alignment with the business requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·Lead the Planning team

·Identify development and training needs for the Planning team, coaching and supporting individuals with their PDP.

·Manage the provision of production plans and raw material schedules and be the key point of contact for the business on all planning, scheduling and forecasting activities.

  • Cross functional communication to maintain the site capacity plans in line with the demand forecasts, to provide accurate information to key stakeholders.

·Develop and set policies (SOP’s) for planning/scheduling rules, planning data accuracy measurement, and reporting.

·Provide concise and accurate information for management reports.

·Project work, as directed by the Head of Supply Chain.

·Ensure that the planning and scheduling systems constantly improve to eliminate non-value adding activities.

·Proactively seek opportunities to add value through eliminating waste, unevenness and overburden in line with the business improvement strategy.

·Maintain the MPS capacity plans and deliver outputs/scenario plans that form part of the S&OP process.

·Promote and demonstrate effective communication (internal and external) and aligned cross-functional working to deliver an efficient operation and service. This should include regular interface with all internal departments and our external customers.
